I am in a business magnet which I don't even have an interest in business....I am more of a science research person....it's due to my older sibling that I chose business over science research.

This is always a self-debate -- would you pursue on something you're interested in or something which can give you a better future.

When you do something you're good at, you can see that you will put all your efforts into your work and at the same time, you enjoy it no matter how long you work into it.

But if you were forced to take it, due to influence of family line or such, you'll find that you'll be struggling when you work. You won't be happy...

But there's another factor....financial success. It's true -- money is everything....it makes the world go round.

So, I would have to say yes in working for financial success....but at the same time, try to work something on what you interest in doing.

What's makes an individual special are their interests.

Hi,

I give a popular workshop called "Ideal Career Framework" where we teach people how to visualize and design their ideal career, which is based on their passion, talent, the world's needs and their values.

Financial success only comes from fulfilling the world's need, so that's only 25% of a successful career.

Many people, especially baby boomers, have sacrificed passion, talent and meaning in order to receive a good income. Only now do they realize that their apparent material success has cost them their passion, their talent and their sense of purpose in life.

People rarely realize how powerful money is, as a tool that companies use to attract people and influence them to engage in careers that do not excite them or engage their heart.

This being said, I think everyone owns their lives and is free to do what they want with their short time on Earth.

Yes, because I've been unemployed for almost 2 years now and have applied for entry-level positions in multiple fields, yet have been rejected by them all.

No, this is how people end up on medication or worse. BTW, take responsibility for your choices and do not blame your brother or sister.
