Yes, a key generator simply looks into the dll files, and sometimes the executable itself, and finds out what combination of numbers (sometimes letters too) will work to unlock the program. A company may keep track of the keys they sell, and if a program is unlocked and the key used isn't a key that the have sold, then they know that you are using a key generator. Some companies shut down your software if they find this information.

of couse, it ca be traced. it doesnt matter if you use a full version or a trial version. it can be traced if the user is intermediate or advanced in computing. There are many anti spyware available in the market. There are some few signs. Your computer is too slow. Process takes to much time, even to open an application too. I recon do not use such programs. Thankx

it solely depends upon the system and its administrator to detect or trace the key generator.
