His money is going into the bank...so one day he can trade up for a trophy wife

Of course if you ask him where it's all going and it's not going to the right places he's not going to tell you that.

The easiest way to figure it out is to look at what he has. If he has a place to live that he's paying for, has all his utilities connected, has a vehicle to drive that appears to be new enough not to be paid off, then he's probably just really strapped.

But if he's broke the day after payday and he's worried about making rent or keeping the electricity on or even eating dinner that night, then he's a drug addict. Or a gambling addict, or something along those lines.

It would also help to know what your boyfriend does for a living, that will give you an idea of the size of the paycheck that is being blown every Friday.

That depends on his lifestyle.
He could be paying credict cards, regular bills such as electricity, gas, rent etc... paying for a car..insurance, gas...probably buy food, cigarettes if he smokes, drink if he drinks...that kind of thing.
I dont get paid much and all my money is generally gone on pay day.
Being a self supporting adult is expensive. Even more so if you have children.
Just ask him what he spends his money on, what bills he pays.. there are alot of things that his money could go too... child support if he has children from a previous relationship, gym membership if he works out.. the list is endless.

If he is truly broke the day after he gets his paycheck on a regular basis, I would guess he has some BIG problems. I'm talking gambling, drugs, blackmail, etc. I think you need to find out where it is going.

My pay check has the same problem. He could be paying bills, buying things, going out and partying, who knows. It might be better to ask him. A nice quote: "If you don't tell you're money what to do, it leaves." Perhaps he has not learned how to budget.

Lots of places but none of them good if he isn't telling you. Drugs, strip joints, child support will take money out of the account as soon as it goes in.
