I find it hard to believe that Bush's approval rating - even at its all time HISTORICAL low for any president - is still above 30%.

Who the hell are the 30+% contributing to his approval rating?

Are these the most media deprived people on the planet (with the exception of those living in communist countries) who don't realize that

#1 THEY WERE WRONG - IRAQ IS A FAILURE
#2 BUSH IS AN UNEDUCATED FOOL
#3 BUSH and the REPS DOn'T SPEAK FOR ANY GOD and are nothing more than perpetualy corrupt PIGS.
#4 YOU CAN'T BRING DEMOCRACY TO UNCIVILIZED "ENEMIES" who happen to have been neighbors living under a dictator's regime which held them together UNTIL that IDIOT "EL DIABLO BUSH" destroyed their "civilization" and caused them to fall into a murderous civil war to the likes the country had never seen?

WHO ARE THESE 30+% ?

A man with a degree from Harvard is "Uneducated?" I'm one of the 30% and haven't been polled, so I'm quite sure that your pollsters are afraid to go and ask the REAL people. It would give them an answer that wouldn't fit their paradigm. The answer is really quite simple. Some of us are old enough to remember the bad old days of Kennedy, Johnson, Carter and Clinton. We've seen first hand the corruption and the lack of direction or common sense of the DNC. The thought of four or more years of Gore or Kerry or worse, Rodham-Clinton or another Kennedy is cause enough for anyone in their right mind to vote Republican. You can spritz as much perfume as you want on a pile of crap, it won't change the fact that it's still crap. When the DNC finally figures out a direction and a plan inwhich to run, I will look seriously at what they offer. But when all they can do is talk trash about the other guy and offer nothing of substance themselves... Why bother? At least I know that with the GOP, the money I've earned is less likely going to support some welfare slug, too damned lazy to get off his dead hind end and go out and get a job like the rest of us. I know the GOP isn't going to re-ignite inflation by raising minimum wage. Any raise you force upon me, I will only pass along to you, the consumers by raising the costs of my products and services -- thus negating any gain you'd hoped to make. If you REALLY want a raise in pay, further your education. The higher your degree, the more money you can command. Social programs such as welfare, are nothing more than reconstituted slavery. It strips the body of dignity, a will to succeed and does little more than undermind the very nature of capitalism and competition. I think Gen. Patton said it best when he addressed the men of the U.S. 3d Army before stepping off into France in 1944. He said, "America HATES losers. Why the very thought of losing is hateful to Americans. I wouldn't give a hoot in Hell for a man who lost and laughed." The DNC and those who support it are typically the losers to whom the General was referring. And what's so tragic about it is that they are all too blind to see it for themselves, even after all of these years. They'll not listen to reason and blatantly choose to ignore facts. They are in a word, unteachable. It is truly a shame that so many strong men and women have to fight to defend those who will not fight for themselves.

C'mon out here to rural Kansas, I can indroduce you to a few. I have lived here 10 years now, I would say they are about 10% of the people here, this is what I have seen that they are like:

They are neither stupid nor crazy.

They watch Fox news, which they claim is "fair and balanced." Seriously, they all use exactly the same phrase when asked about it, like they have been brainwashed.

They think in terms of black and white absolutes, they think that anyone who isn't a far right wing republican is a very far "lefty", no in-betweens are recognized.

They think that questioning anything that the military has ever done is a form of treason.

They take the bible literally, even though they haven't read it.

They say that they are "pro-life" yet they are pro-war and pro-executions.

They refuse to listen to any facts, experience, or opinion that is different from their world view.

They say they believe in freedon, they have fought for freedon, but they oppose freedom for some different from themselves, such as gays and immigrants.

They believe that "conservative values" and their own lifestyles are constantly under attack.

They like to eat very tasty pies.

They are very friendly toward strangers.

Most are healthier and stronger than city people.

The men fix their own cars, the women do good cooking.

First, let me say that I think Bush is a terrible President.

That being said, do you not realize that it might be possible for people to have different opinions than you, while still being sane? Just because you hate Bush does not mean that all people who are smart must hate him.

For you to say that Iraqis are uncivilized is very ridiculous.

Like I said, not all the world shares your opinions, and that does not mean the people who don't agree with you are crazy. Maybe you should rethink your feeling that everyone who doesn't think like you is wrong.

They are the people who watch Fox News.

The radical conservatives want every issue to be about liberals, independents and democrats - in short, everyone who didn't vote for Bush.

They control the media to a much larger degree than most of us realize. For instance, Air America radio stations are 'converting' all over the nation. They had a real impact on the last election and are now effectively being silenced. And don't forget that Howard Stern took a stronly anti-Bush stance before getting his final pressure to leave the public airwaves.

The pressure our culture can bring to bear on people is astonishing. For some, they believe the nonsense that Fox News is spouting is golden simply because it has the authority of the govt behind it.

There are also a tremendous number of Americans who are woefully uninformed.

We as Americans, roll our eyes when we hear that most arabs don't believe that arabs were involved in the 9/11 attacks, but how should we respond to the fact that a good number of Americans really believe that Saddam Hussein was behind the 9/11 attacks.

Read everything I have to say before you bash me... and just consider another view- OK?

Me~ 40 something- children-home- good job- mid class.
Bush was the better of the worst choices available at the time.

I do not think we will ever see another politcian that is the BEST candidate. Rather they will only be viewed as the best of the the possible worst choices.

Seriously, who would want that thankless job anyway? If your a smart person- you can make a million times more in corporate America then you can being Prez.

Once the public votes are in - I will either quietly simmer until the next election or silently support the President of my country.

Unless something REALLY horrible were to occur to us as a Nation- (or unless he stuck a cigar up her XXXXX- in the official home of the Leader of the Free World) I would never publically denounce the President of my Country.

I wont criticize your other points, when you start off with incorrect statistics, the rest of your points are automatically suspect
