I think you inherit baldness from your mother's side of the family.

This may be a stupid question to your concerning answer. But, do you wear a hat or anything on your head daily? You may even want to avoid using too many gels or chemicals on your hair. You may even want to research your family history further to see where the pattern started. I will say, I have seen alot of bald men, men who had early pattern baldness that decided to just shave the rest off, who look mighty fine. I would start before you bring out the razor looking at potential reasons your hair is receeding. It could be preventable if its alot of gels or wearing a hat or anything on your head for too long. Look deeper into your family history to. :) GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

it been proven that the baldness gene is actually recieved from the mothers side of the family. so you may be looking in the wrong direction. but also it doesn't have to be inhereted either, it can just occur. take my word for it being the only balding man on either side of my family and I am only 29 years old

Well... I did read that the trait for hair lost is actually passed on through your mom.....and not through your dads ....hows your moms brothers look? Because if thats the case, if both your grandfathers have hair, it could have come from one of your grandmothers, and then passed on to her sons. And then again, genetics is like a roll of the dice, it could some long recessive trait in you family from generations ago that showed up in you.
