I am wondering if there is a converter out there that can convert my mpeg or whatever movies, into a format that will be able to play on my ipod. Either that or another way to get my own videos to play.

If you have a Mac try Handbrake...works great and best of all it's free! If that doesn't work try reading about how to covert videos to IPod...like this article http://twelveblackcodemonkeys.com/videoipodbasics.htm.

Both Handbrake and another program iSquint (also free) are discussed at http://www.macworld.com/2005/12/secrets/januaryplaylist/index.php as well.

This really depends on what kind of iPod you have, only the 5th generation iPod can play videos. If you have a 5th gen ipod, first download the newest version of iTunes. Then import you video into iTunes. In iTunes highlight one of the imported videos and click on advanced(on the top where file is)>convert selection for iPod. Once it is done converting your videos they should work on your iPod. This will only work if your videos can be played by Quicktime, this won't work with windows media video files or real player files. Have Fun!

Steps

1. download it

2. Run Total Video converter component, load the video files you''d like to convert by clicking ''New Task'' button.
After the files were selected, the window 'Please select the format to be converted will popup to remind you to select the right button.
