I was recently contacted by someone regarding Market America. I already own a sole proprietorship business but am interested checking it out further.

-Anyone who is involved in business: Are these good people to work with?
-They mention "residual income", but say it is NOT multi-level marketing. What exactly is it, then?
-The person I talked to seemed very arrogant. They also said they are "interviewing 10 people" and will only "bring on 2". However, they didn't seem to care any bit about my current business background.

Any info? Please, no stupid .org sites, or comments from people who didn't try therefore didn't make money in the business. I am involved with multi level marketing business and know SOME of them are very, very , legitimate with a great opportunity. I just don't want to waste my time if this isn't that type of opportunity.

I'm looking for more concrete examples.
How exactly is money made? How well is the company doing?

I've not been involved with it personally, but have relatives who have been involved with it, and it seems VERY sketchy to me. The people who recruit others are really pushy, won't take no for an answer, and the organization seems almost cult-like in the way that it requires allegiance from its members. My husband and I did a bunch of research on it when we first learned about our relatives who were getting involved, and we also found that the organization has been hit by a number of lawsuits for shady business practices. I would NOT recommend getting involved!

Market America is one of the best ways to create residual income in excess of $100,000 per year. Most Unfranchise owners begin part time while staying in their current situation (full time job, other business, etc.) We use the term "Unfranchise" because it describes the system very well. Like a franchise, MA uses systematic, proven processes to create product demand and drive revenue and profits. Unlike a franchise, there are no franchise fees which can range anywhere from $20,000 to $500,000+.

Market America is a product brokerage and internet marketing company which has several product lines including Health & Nutrition, Anti-aging, Cosmetics, Person Care and my favorite, Web Site sales.

Please contact me for more information. I would love to speak with you to help you evaluate the opportunity.

If you are in the Virginia area, there is a Market America Meeting for the Richmond members and I'm thinking of attending. The meeting is in Newport News Va. but I'm not sure were yet. The person who approached me about it is a coworker and she visited me to pitch the concept in general.

She didn't get too deep into what it is that I would need to do to be successful so maybe I'll post another message if I attend.

One thing she kept stressing was that I would have to do exactly what they told be to do. So, the person's comment about being cult like sort of held a little merit at this point for me.
