Dude turn off the water and get rid of the line braided and the installation that leaks now carry it with a channel lock and lower back it out slowly with a cresent or small pipe wrench check out the tape is there a mark no then retape replace the installation {adapter ]to the female end of the braid then tighten down independantly till seated now go back it to the installation thatwas leaking replace upload water verify for leaks is it oozeing out or spraying hmm heres yet another trick those might want to all be brass it kinda smashes into the mating surfaces and makes the seal yet when the tape stops it short the water can climb the threads out so maube use pipe dope plumbers sealer its gray like teeth paste and it truly is going to be at like walmart or depot or use plumbers goop its a silicon depending glue used to end leaks on and in plumbing its about 6. funds at walmart use that instead in and on the leaky connection strong success

I wouldnt do it
I think cold water fittings will bulge and leak when exposed to hot water temperatures

thats why you cannot use pvc pipes for hot

Is it worth the chance? how much demolition would you have to do if it leaks a month or a year from now?

cold and hot water plastics are made of different materials.. that is why the hot parts are more expensive,, don't be cheap and use cold water fittings,, it won't be cheap when that stuffs starts failing due to the heat!!! why do you think they specify hot and cold??
