In Final Fnatasy 8, how do you get to Cactaur Island??

Somone siad i have to fly, but how do i fly?

as you progress through the game normally, you'll eventually get an airship. actually it's a space ship called the ragnarock.

there is nothing special about getting the ship, you can't get it early, it's part of the storyline. so play through the game until you get it, and THEN you can get to cactaur island, and more importantly, the sea research lab
