people will do the craziest things when they are bored. i remember one time when i was young and extremely bored out of nowhere i put a playing dice from one of my pocket games - snake and ladders and put it up my nose and got it stuck there. my mom rushed me to the hospital and the nurse said i was silly when she got it out. that was pretty funny. when i'm depressed i try to stay away from the mainstream or what people would usually do when they are bored. i try to be unique and do something i haven't heard anyone do before. you know that chris angel guy he's pretty cool, i know that guy is never bored for sure. here are some stuff you can do to stay off your depression:

- go fishing for fun and then after return the fish back into the lake
- write down a funny note with your email on a piece of paper and stick it inside a bottle and let the bottle float in the lake for some sucker to find and walla you made a friend!
- find out if 4 million human farts can be compared to an atomic bomb enough to blow up someone's house
- bake a cake and serve it to your friends and family
- run five times around your block and when your done scream really loud and say "i did it!!!" trust me it will make you feel good
- write an autobiography of yourself
- purchase a bb gun and a set of cheap china and have someone throw them in the air as you shoot them
- make an ant farm

well hope this helps ya out. good luck. no sense in being depressed in life really. you only live once so make the best of it. take it from the dalai lama even - "the purpose of life is happiness" , oh yeah go read that book too the art of happiness by dalai lama its pretty good. i found out about it watching friends, i saw rachel reading it. its an awesome book. =)

exercise. I play hockey and during the off season when I'm not playing, sometimes I get really depressed and restless. Once I get to the point when I'm dead tired but can't go to sleep, I know that it's because of lack of exercise and I go skating. Works every time. I can feel a difference right after I'm done, breathing hard, and I love going that fast. Then that night, I sleep like a baby. Feeling depressed and bored usually comes with sleep problems.

Go running or something, skating, play soccer with your friends.

What I also do is, well I love to sing, and if you sing to your favorite songs, well for me, it makes me not only happy, but it tires me out.

I would strongly suggest exercise.

Chant the Maha Mantra. You are depressed an boare because this world is Maya (illusion) it is temporary and full of misery. If one is more spiritually advanced this word has no taste anymore. (like an old piece of gum) people are just trying to squeeze something out of it that just isn't there. We are not these bodies, race, color, religion, nationality, mind, senses, intellect, job, etc. We are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, Also known as Krishna, Allah, Vishnu, Jehovah, etc. We have to reconnect to actually be happy. The quickest and easiest way is to chant the Maha Mantra (the great mantra for deliverance from suffering and illusion. go to krishnaculture. for details read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedatna Prabhupada -It is so enlivening. I hope you try it. It is the only thing that worked for me.

You can spend sometimes with friends; talk, go for a walk, watch a comedy. For old folks like us, we're taking bubble bath,do our nails, and go for a facial. Reading, exercising, and meditating are another form of relax

There are medical reasons for this; check with your doctor.

We now know that depression, like other medical conditions, has a chemical and biological basis. Treatment for depression is safe and usually effective even for severely depressed people.

Being depressed and being bored are two different things. Which is it?

Do you have any activity you like? Keep yourself busy.
