She hit the party scene, hooked up with the first guy that came along, and gained a lot of weight right after the breakup. Are these symptoms that she is having a hard time with the breakup of our long term relationship? She broke it off, but I don't think that she expected me to dissappear afterwards.

sometimes when we are depressed we use food as a con fort, as an escape from something. but u have to remember she must not have been happy before either, if she wanted to party, and be with others. when we over eat we are going through some sort of depression with something, we can't work out. but it is never good to go back into a relationship that hurt us, as we will just have those issues to deal with again and again. leave the past in the past and move on to a future. we may never know why it happened, or if they were affected badly when we left them, even if we did know it was because they had regrets, it would only boost our ego, and not really mean we should go back with that person.

I think she is defintiely having a hard time. Hooking up with the first guy that comes along is a sign of desperation or trying to make you jealous, or trying to get over you. And weight gain implies she's been having a lot of long lonely nights eating ice cream, (yes women do this over breakups, its not a cliche)..I think she wanted more attention and wants you back, but wants you to make the first move...good luck

She is definitely having a very hard time. Men gain weight when they're happy, women gain weight when they're depressed or unhappy. As for the partying and the guy also signs.

Yes, it could be a sign that she's having a tough time dealing with the break-up. It doesn't matter who ended it, the hurt and pain resides on both sides and takes time to move forward. It may be the only way she knows how to handle the lost.

Honestly, it could mean a variety of things. So--are you interested in actually knowing the answer to your question? The only way to find out for sure is to ask. If you don't have the balls to do so, or you don't care enough to, you're going to have to just let her go.

You might have been a huge part of why she put on some pounds... but don't get too cocky because it could have also been that she went through other stresses after you.
