a common fact that the users ineptitude is the root of the problem? 95 percent of peoples PC troubles are caused by themselves! Sometimes I think there should be a training course you must pass before you can even purchase one!

Sorry, can't agree with that.

As a 25 year software engineer I see more shoddy work now than I ever have before. When MS decides I can't do something because it think's it is ill advised or would make life difficult for Windoze there's a software engineer somewhere who did an inadequate job. If I tell it to dismount a USB drive I absolutely guarantee that it can be removed now, it doesn't make one single bit of difference what Windoze thinks of it, I am going to pull it out.

Then there's applications that won't close, one way and another they are closing and that's that. Ultimately it is going to work.

How about when you submit a web page you just took 20 minutes to fill in and because of one error it makes you start again. The one error is my fault, but if the page comes up empty and I have to fill in everything again then that's because the engineer who wrote the application is lazy.

When my software controlled Ford gearbox (I scrapped it rather than pass it on to anyone else, I hated it so much) takes 3 seconds to kick down, or changes up when I start to accelerate because it thinks that would be more economical, somewhere in Michigan there's a software or systems engineer who needs taking outside and thrashing for being so stupid.

Lot's of reasons to swear when using computers of all types, some of them self induced, most induced by other people who did a poor job.

Even if they are aware, they would choose to believe that their PC problems are among the 5% which is not caused by them.

That's human social psychology, easier to cope by attributing it externally, concluding that there is no way to have any control over the problem caused.

Also, for lack of a better way to ventilate, they curse at their PC systems.

I know my way around my computer but sometimes it feels so much better to threaten it with a few choice words than to take the time to find, then fix the problem. Go figure.

Because they'd feel even dumber if they hear themselves cursing themselves. And the computer is the cause of them feeling inept so they curse the machine..........there's a reason some people call them - personal confusers.

I do agree with your answers but not all the times, sometimes our PC also does some mischiefs. so it is a 50 -50, not wholly human errors.

Yes, you are correct. However, we were all noobies at some point.

Just think of yourself as a valuable resource for those not blessed with such technical skills ;)
