So I go out quite a bit to the movies and i have alot of skirts that are typical short jean skirts...would it be ok to wear nylons with jean skirts? I have all types of shoes, but normally wear just plain flip flops from old navy cause i have like every color.
On another related story...one night while i was wearing nylons at a cocktail party, I was under the influence and a guy and I advanced to my place...we started up and he told me to keep them on...odd???

Of course it's ok :) As long as they don't clash with your skirt. Try something like this:

If it's getting cool where you live, go with the nylons, or patterned tights. It's hard looking good when you're shivering.
Oooh... by nylons are you meaning the kind you wear with a garter belt? If so, no wonder your guy wanted to keep them on, they seem to find that look oh, so sexy. I will admit they make me feel sexy when I wear them.
And Wicked's thigh highs - another great idea under short skirts. But sometimes it's dificult find ones that reach all the way up your legs. Its also fun to tease the guys with a little peek of the lace tops, while acting all innocent and unaware.

If it were me, who did the nylons and jean skirt thing in the 1980's, I am 33 and I would honestly think that panty hose are a little to mumsy for fashion today. I would go with a legging or matte tights in different colours, which is very fashion forward right now...and truthfully a little warmer for winter...
a cute winter look is the cable knit tight, which is kind of like a 70's throw back but if you do this in cream and cafe au lait colours with cute layers and hoodies from AE and similar, it looks really cute, you can get away with the tights and leggings with boots and shorts as well...check it out...

Whatever you are comfortable with. Always cover the toes though, they should also be sheer and look as natural as possible. About the guy thing, dunnoooo about that.

i wear the kind that are thigh highs...so cool when you take them off
