My niece has one and it holds approx. 1000 to 1200 depending on length of each song. It certainly has revolutionized the CD player. You do not need CD to listen to fine quality music. Have fun with it...it makes me boogie on down when walking down the high street of a shopping centre.

Depends on how compressed they are, my w800i phone has a 1/2GB (512MB) card and it holds about 8 biggish albums/CD's at 198kb quality which is slightly compressed, so 4GB would hold 60 odd albums at that quality.

absolutely loads , if you compress the tracks , you can fit a shed load more than that , i have a 1gig mp3 player and have about 12 albums on it uncompressed aswell as a handfull of of singles and files
