Have you made any recent changes to your Hosts file, Windows services and/or changed your Internet service provider (ISP)? DNS servers are the Yellow Pages for the Internet. Usually, your ISP use their own DNS servers. Changes in either the Hosts file and/or ISP can result in a DNS error. You might also want to check which Windows services are running. Go to Start Menu > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services . Check to see if DHCP Client and DNS Client are both "Started" and "Automatic."

Most likely, your ISP might be experiencing problems. It also wouldn't be a bad idea to run a scan for spyware on your computer.

If you've never had this problem before, and you still have the same Internet Service Provider, it could be a problem with their DNS (domain name server).
