What do you think about the 911 conspiracy theory and where do you get your facts?

Please I just want to know why people say these things. I lost a real good friend on 911 as any one who knows me knows.
I believe in America and do not think she would ever ever do what was suggested by the 911 conspiracy theorist who hold on to that notion, I want to know why any one would believe this stuff and where did you get your facts.

911 conspiracy theory is full of holes too although those internet films can be quite compelling. There are just too much 'cherry picking' of facts, interview excerpts... etc. Here's some example how they twist facts to create dramatic 911 stories.

Some bloggers and 911 theorists say hijackers are found alive and links to BBC article titled ‘Hijack 'suspects' alive and well.’ What they don’t say is that this BBC article is about confusion over hijackers’ true identities. It appears hijackers may have assumed someone else's IDs. Criminals using false IDs? Hard to believe? BBC article ends by saying “FBI Director Robert Mueller acknowledged on Thursday that the identity of several of the suicide hijackers is in doubt.” That’s why the title put quotation mark around ‘suspects’ when it says ‘suspects alive and well.’

You’ll notice in the middle of this BBC article titled ‘Hijack 'suspects' alive and well’ it also says in bold face ‘Mistaken Identity.’ Conspiracy gurus never even finished the entire article it appears and have reading comprehension of sixth grader. This article is used to claim that hijackers are made up/fake people in this ‘conspiracy.’ Yes, it’s sad. Please read the entire article and learn something called CONTEXT. They took this article about mistaken identities and turned it into 911 'mystery.'

Twin towers never fell at free fall speed as Professor Jones claims. He makes eye ball estimate and do not make actual measurements. Several have made calculations showing the towers fell close to free fall because of massive kinetic energy, but frame by frame calculation shows it does not fall at ‘free fall’ speed. You can actually see some debris falling faster than building is collapsing in some footages. Usually demolition takes almost month of gutting and preparation for much smaller buildings. Building 7 had a giant hole stretching over 10 floors and its picture exists, but conspiracy theorists probably don't want you to see since it dampens their 'demolition' theory. Why would Silverstein, who is not familiar with demolition at all, use demolition slang to admit something so odd on national TV? That doesn’t make sense.

911 conspiracy theory claim Rumsfeld said flight 93 was shot down. On 9-11-01 it is Cheney who mistakenly believes 2 planes were shot down by Airforce during the attacks. Cheney have ordered to take down any hijacked planes that may be heading for a target after WTC was hit. Rumsfeld tells Cheney he knows one plane is down, but can’t confirm who brought down the plane (flight 93). This episode was explained in PBS’s Frontline: Dark Side. They had obtained actual transcript of their conversation. Lot of stories about gov shooting down flight 93, missile theories...etc seem to have originated from this.

Rumsfeld was in Pentagon when it was hit and helped rescue crew which was caught on video. Why would he or others order missile to hit it when they're in the building. Several light poles at near by high way were knocked down short ways from Pentagon. Did single missile swerve around in chasing after skinny light poles before hitting pentagon? Was it a big fat Tomahawk missile that is wide as commercial airliner’s wing span? Some cars were damaged too by the plane grazing over highways.

Many claim Pentagon had auto missile defense that could have shot down planes entering its airspace, but such project really never took full effect because of fear that civilian plane may be shot down and might pose danger to neighboring residents. Can you imagine some newly licensed pilot flying single engine Cessna into Pentagon air space getting shot down by missile or anti aircraft guns? Richard Clarke, former counter-terrorism official explained this. Ask him about it. How many times do you see planes go off course by accident? Gov officials didn’t want to endanger its own citizens for extremely unlikely scenario.

Some claim debunking911 websites are debunked and links to infowar website, but there they only discuss ‘pull’ comment again which is very vague and arbitrary and they do not discuss other countless flaws in 911 conspiracy theory. They do not explain the fact that many experts have explained ‘molten metals’ and several structural engineers and experts have disputed Steve Jones’s (physicist and not structural engineer) theory.

Debunking911 websites were never debunked, because 911 theorists never explained why things in debunking911 websites are wrong. There are just too many odd assumptions in these 911 theories. 911 theorists do engage in what we now call ‘cherry picking of information’ in order to complete their picture of reality.

Why would government kill 3000 of it own citizens to make case for a war when they can just generate evidence of WMD using intelligence which is so much easier? The US went to war without UN Security Council clearance anyways and have taken military actions without UN clearance in the past. If we can go to war whenever we want to why kill 3000 people? Just for the fun?

Why would so many authorities make bold claims that reveal this so called 'inside job' if it is inside job? As 911 theory people claim. Did Nixon ever go on TV and say 'oh yea I bugged those suckers' before whole thing became public? Lot of 911 theory claims don't make sense. If you have secret plot to bring down buildings and disguise it as terrorism would you tell people about it on TV interviews or in public?

If 911 was used as execuse for Iraq War why didn't they plant more evidence that directly link 911 to Saddam? Why was the link so loosely made? What's the point of 911 if it doesn't make solid connection to Saddam making Bush administration work so hard linking Saddam and also making WMD case. It took tremendous effort to make WMD case which wouldn't have been required if 911 really was meant to bring in Saddam into this whole war on terror. This is major flaw in 911 inside job premise.

The conspiracy theories are "piling on" the grief that still saddens many Americans, even after all this time that has passed. Their hatred for a sitting American president justifies telling bold faced lies. They have no shame. There was a very good documentary on the design of the world trade centers on the Discovery Channel a few years back. It explained in great detail from impact to fall, how the design factors contributed. I would try to find a copy of it.

As for the Pentagon, I watched the flames from the wreckage burn for a over a week. People don't understand that an aircraft frame and body is made of mostly magnesium and aluminum, and once they ignite, its like a "road flare". It will burn completely until it consumes all the metal. It burned the entire aircraft completely. The idea that a missile hit the Pentagon is ludicrous.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Losing someone, for whatever reason, is never easy. Unfortunately, people are always going to think up conspiracy theories. Anything that is newsworthy is always picked apart. People still challenge the moon landing, the assination of JFK & I'm sure the Saddam conspiracies are already in the works. Some people enjoy the attention and want to challenge everything they are told. Sometimes fiction is better than truth. I honestly don't think the U.S goverment caused 9/11. I've seen the documentaries about the conspiracies and to me, they just don't wash. People who were there even atest that these things simply didn't make sense and aren't true. I don't think our goverment is so corrupt that they would kill thousands of innocent people to start a war. That stood to serve no one and wars have been started for lesser reasons. I think America is just an easy target and a good example to show the rest of the world just what the terrorists are capable of. Simply, they wanted to make sure everyone got their message.

911 was in fact done by elements within the Federal government. Al-Qaeda was created by the CIA originally as a mercenary group against the soviets. Later on they try to come up with a story saying that they no longer control al-qaeda, however, the truth is that the CIA has always controlled them. If you have been watching the news in the recent syrian war, it is very clear that the so called rebels (free army) are being aided by the CIA to attempt to overthrow the leader of syria, then if you dig a little deeper into who these freedom fighters are, you will see that they are al-qaeda and al-qaeda affiliated groups. Thus, the CIA is still using their al-qaeda mercenaries to fight against governments in which they want to plant their puppets. Getting back to 911. Knowing that the CIA runs al-qaeda, it should be clear that they have used them to put fear into the American people so as to slowly over time implement laws that would allow them to eventually monitor, profile and ultimately arrest those who promote and believe in a free humanity. See FEMA detention camps for further evidence of incarceration. Those who speak out against the rising of a tyrannical u.s. government will be arrested, detained and even exterminated. The people who are behind this are globalists, who have for decades been promoting and supporting the creation of socialist governments around the world. They have one goal in mind and that is simply world domination. They have no conscience for the many murders they have committed thus far and will have none for the millions that they will murder int he near future. There are many facts, not fictions that prove 911 was done by the CIA which is being run by the globalists. They say that the buildings fell because the heat from the jet fuel melted the steel beams that supported the towers, however, over 1500 architects and scientists have come out publicly and denounced that theory proving that the heat created by jet fuel doesn't even come close to melting steel. Jet fuel at its hottest burns at around 1500 fahrenheit, to melt steel you have to have at least a minimum of 2700 fahrenheit. Nano Thermite, a U.S. military grade explosive was found in the dust of the towers, it burned for over 2 months, jet fuel couldn't have burned for more than a few days. Look at tower number 7, it was clear according to architects who deal with demolition that that was exactly what it was. It was a controlled demolition. I am not an American but do live to the north of your country in Canada. I have also heard of these conspiracy theories and think they are all a bunch of bull. Sad fact of life is that America is one of the most hated countries on our planet and as such is very susceptible to these acts of terrorism. Sorry that you lost a close friend that day in September and I remember watching it live at work and crying along with all my co-workers for the victims of this terrible act. Hopefully this will never occur again in our lifetimes and your troops will be removed from the Iraq as this is just pissing off the people responsible more and making plot more acts that will affect your fine country.

Google, or search "9/11 truth" and you will find many of the websites. Or, go to amazon.com and do a search of "9/11 Conspiracy". The facts are all there, well over 200 proving the towers came down with controlled demolition. Get informed, it's your best weapon.

to be truth i dont think afghans were behind that. they have no technology to have good planes and pilots. that's what my opinion is. u, being a diligent person, can think if America can use bin laden against USSR... why not to have this plan to make a cause for staying in a power for long... after all u see... its not just one thing... its a huge chain... and the mastermind wants to do something against someone. hope u getting me

There was no conspiracy , and the people who think there was are living in another world, sorry for your loss. To Karla who answered above, the hijackers hijacked the planes they did not use there own DUH.
