..."No good deed goes unpunished?"

I mean, come on... I'm a republican, and probably agree very little with her politics, but you have to respect the woman for her philanthropy, don't you? And what she said about American students is dead-on accurate.

I agree. It is her money and she can do and spend it on whatever she wishes. I applaud her effects to help and aid in the rebuilding of Africa because it is a good and wonderful cause. Besides, she donates her money to plenty of foundations and causes in America, too.

I don't have to respect oprah for anything. So she opened a school for black girls in Africa.... is she going to accept/admit any white children or boys or only the ones that will kiss her fat a%$? No good deed goes unpunished??? Think of the financial kick-back she's getting for starting a foundation overseas... there's no punishment I can see.

she would be in a position to do what she needs together with her money, she earned it. and he or she would be in a position to assert what she needs, it is merely her opinion. That being reported, I agree together with her. frequently, human beings tend to think of that we would desire to have issues surpassed to us. What makes this so humorous is that a top to an training IS surpassed to us on a silver platter. training interior the U. S. is unfastened from pre-ok to 12 grade in each and every state. Yeah, yeah yeah... some colleges get extra useful investment than others. investment of colleges is a undertaking yet no longer one Oprah can restore (she would not have that plenty money/impression). invoice Gates is making an attempt to enhance our equipment to make us extra globally aggressive (being the richest guy alive could help open doors). yet undesirable investment won't be an excuse for no longer gaining awareness of. My mom grew up in segregated Alabama. She her college books have been 2d hand and had the be conscious "colored" stamped in them because of the fact at that factor blacks weren't allowed to bypass to white colleges or get books from white libraries. in spite of the undeniable fact that, she grew to become into nevertheless granted a "classic" training which comprise gaining awareness of a thank you to talk German. Even segregation did no longer end her from going to college, paying interest in college, doing the assignments, or information that an training grew to become right into a efficient to each physique (in spite of, race, financial/social status). we don't even have this undertaking anymore and yet teenagers (from all races) look to think of training is a shaggy dog tale. Charity in uncomplicated terms works if the recipient is prepared to settle for it. the youngsters in South Africa are prepared, we don't seems to be. Oprah would retire from her instruct yet she would not strike me because of the fact the type to easily relax and relax. i think that if she retires, she would be in a position to probable do extra charity paintings than now. form of like Jimmy Carter and Habitat for arts. no rely the place she lives (and he or she has properties everywhere) she would be in a position to be nevertheless helping little ones.

That's a great way to look at it coz it's true! She's trying to give back to the people and she's getting backlashed. At least she's doing something to better the world....but you gotta look at it this way, she's spending unnecessary money on beauty salons and yoga classes? i mean wtf? she should use the "extra" money to build a larger complex or a another school. Also, she doesn't have white South Africans in that school, she says she doesn't feel she needs to "appease" to them. i mean wtf? that's BS and hyprocracy. She confuses me some.
