Folks in the Society for Creative Anachronism and those who attend Renaissence Faires do it all the time. Simplicity has had some great Elizabethan patterns in the past few years. Though many have been retired, you can sometimes find them on eBay.

Yes, haven't you seen all those movies with authentic period style clothing? If we can put a man on the moon, we can put a man in tights and a cod piece- modern technology is wonderful. I of course would need an extra large cod piece.

Sure, I recently attended a wedding that had such a theme...all of the bridal party had their costumes made...it was interesting.
