Amu stands for "Atomic Mass Unit" and is defined to be equal to 1/12 the mass of a Carbon-12 atom.

1 amu = 1.66053873(13) x 10^-27 kg

But to be perfectly technical, kilograms are a unit of mass, not weight (which is what your question asked for).

Weight = mass * gravity,
Where "gravity" is the gravitational acceleration experiences by the object, appoximately equal to 9.81 m/s^2 on the surface of the Earth. Therefore,
Weight = 1.6605 E-27 kg * 9.81 m/s^2
Weight = 1.63 E-26 Newtons
Newtons are the SI unit of weight.

I am pretty sure this is the weight of one carbon atom. It's called an "Atomic Mass Unit" against which the others are measured.

Perhaps someone else can confirm or deny this, but I think this is valid.
