Antonio Banderas in THE 13th WARRIOR; he was an arab who followed a group of vikings. Eventhough he was a star but his role was the narrator and the main character but not the hero of the movie.
Most audience and even film critics couldnt accept this'out-of-the-box' role and the film got a thumb's down.

The Little Mermaid. I think it reminds me of my childhood, but I'm not sure. Everyone else in my family groans when I put it in, and usually leaves the room. I got the DVD for Christmas, and my family threatened to take the DVD player out of the living room lol.

Roger and Hammerstein's "Cinderella" the musical (the 1965 version). I've loved that movie ever since I was a little kid, and I still love watching it over and over again. ^-^ No one else I know seems to like it though.... haha.
