There are people who don't know that living things with brains and pain receptors don't feel pain? Goof balls!!!

In short: Because people are different.
Btw, this is probably the answer that you're not expecting.
The main reason is this: Usually, people don't think about another animal's pain, just as soldiers don't think about the pain of the person they just shot.
When a wolf hunts down a rabbit, the wolf does not stop to care about the pain the rabbit is in, it is preoccupied with eating. This is the same with humans. Bullies don't stop to care about their pain of their victims, they're preoccupied with having fun, with feeling better.
Normally, when people are, say, eating beef, they don't see the dying bovine beside the barn, they see food. It's this way because dying bovines aren't part of their day-to-day lives.
Now, of course, it's only common sense that when you're being killed, it hurts, but the thing is, not only do people not see that, people do not like to see that because it's disturbing, so they dismiss it. And that is why we have such a hard time believing that ALL animals feel pain.

Probably because there is serious debate as to whether some animals, such as lobsters, actually feel pain or not.

It means that since animals express no human traits that they cannot depict that they can feel harmful pain. Some think that since they aren't humans they have the right to be harmed. Mostly cold heartness

I think it is because that sort of denial is the only way they can cope with the suffering that animals go through. If they refuse to believe it, then it does not exist for them.
And some people unfortunately just don't care. They are not able to empathize.

everyone knows but the
people that dont confess it may have hurt a animal in some way
and are in denial or maybe there dumb?
They live dontt hey the eat they cry they need water and shelter they have kids and when they get hurrt they wail and cry(in there own communication)

I do not think that they all do, as slaughter keeps getting more humane. If you deviate from humane slaughter, you can be sure that PETA.,AHUS and several other organizations will be on it , "like white on rice ".
