Pap smear (fun), medical history taken, blood pressure, you'll get weighed, probably a urine sample, they'll try to listen for the baby's heartbeat, and they'll measure you (pelvis to top of uterus).
Every single visit after that, you'll be weighed, measured, have to give a urine sample, and will listen for the heartbeat. Usually pretty quick visits, unless you have questions (remember-there are no stupid questions, seriously!)

You can expect lots of questions. You can expect to give blood. You can also expect for them to do a pap smear just to check and make sure that everything is OK. They might do an ultrasound. They did one with me but I was 7 weeks pregnant. Dont be afraid to ask the doctor any kind of questions that you may have, they dont mind, thats why they are there.

At my first appt. I got weighed, blood pressure was taken, peed in a cup, was asked alot of questions about my family history and the daddy was asked about his family history. I had to go and get blood work done, they also had me do a 24 hour urine catch ( had a big gallon jug and every time I had to pee I had to put it in the jug), they gave me a pap and felt around to make sure everything was healthy and there were no problems at that time. Good luck. It really isn't that bad. I was 10 weeks when I went to my first appt. and they listened for a heartbeat ( that is the first time I heard my baby's heart)

Paperwork, blood tests, questions, an "orientation" of sorts. You might get a list of books your doctor recommends. A list of foods to avoid during your pregnancy as well as activities you can do and when you will need to cease certain activities as your pregnancy progresses. If the mom to be is married some doctors ask that the husband be there as well.

You will be expected to have your blood and urine samples taken ,they might do an internal ultrasound to see if they can hear a heartbeat, also they will ask you questions about your health history and sexual history too. Its all to ensure the safety of they baby!

He'll ask you questions.
He'll want to know when your last period was so he can figure out how far along you are. He might put a monitor on your stomach to see if he can hear a heart beat.
If you don't know when your last period is, then he might do a vaginal exam to see the baby and determine your due date.
But in most cases it's just talking.
Congratulations

OK it goes like this (w/my dr. anyway)
1st: a urine test
2nd: weight
3rd: blood pressure
4th: When you see your dr. they will ask you when the last day of your period was. Then they will ask you all about your family history... any miscarraiges and such. They will give you lots of phamplets and send you on your way. Then next one, if your due, they willl probably schedual you for a pap test.
Good Luck and God Bless

If I remember right they will do a pelvic exam and my OB/GYN did a breast exam. They will ask a ton of questions and figure your due date from when your last period was. Congrats!

A ton of questions, lots of information, maybe some pamphlets and other materials.
They usually don't do a pap or anything like that at the first visit.
