Its a gas grill and the back 2 burners feels significantly hotter than the front burner(with and without grill plates and flavorizer bars). I cant figure it out! I've scrubbed the pipes, put fresh propane, tightened everything! Please help!

Most of the time the rear burners are hotter when you have a upper rear rack. (to help cook on the upper racks)

I don't know, but why do you care. Turn that control a little lower, down to medium or something or just use it to your advantage by using the hotter side for searing and then moving to the front. It could be that the gas enters first on the back burners and doesn't have as much umph as it flows to the front. My gas range is a little quirky that way.

just like the broiler in your oven, all grills are usually hotter in back as to front.and sometimes hotter on one side than the other. through design it works better than having a hearth type oven. it allows for a varience in heating to give you the choice of char broiling(burning) your food or puttin it on a cooler part of the grill to grill at a more even temp while cooking. hope this helps, its not the fault of your equipment, its a given. the theory of extra heat in back isnt quite right ,heat rises, and the things hanging on the racks are being smoked /baked when the lid is closed. and gets encased in the dome that is the grill lid and makes it own little oven.
