just rebound and score naturally as possible. I was always able to make the team but absolutely hated not having the ball an hated following boring plays. BUT, thats the sacrifice u have to make in order to play.

Welcome to the world of organized ball

there's a big difference between free style playing and team sports

you have to work with the team

just remember what your strengths are and why you were picked for the team and make sure sure you keep doing it and try to work on your weaknesses in practice and in your spare time

if you are needed at small forward there are probably more players at guard or you are needed at forward because maybe you have a small team or something

try to do the little things like rebound (box out) and that means you also get the ball back

showing effort also increases your chances of the coach calling your number

organized ball is a lot different than shooting around with your friends, but if you want to continue playing basketball you need to stick with it

good luck

Looks like you'd make a great forward for your team. You got a decent FT% with a good mid-range game and have improved your 3PT% considerably. You also combine height with speed and quickness to get a person with a great offensive/defensive hybrid mindset, being able to guard the hoop, rebound efficiently, and also be active on offense with good ball handling, passing, and a high IQ and rapid adaptation skills to the game. If everyone acknowledges your skill and game in basketball, go for it and try out for the team. Whatever physical characteristics you have, whether you're too skinny or fragile, will mean nothing to the coach if you work hard. People may pick on you, but just shut them out, I mean, if they pick on you, why wouldn't THEY try out for the team? You have the confidence and will well be able to succeed, so good luck and just do your best above everything.

I have read alot of the advice given and I agree. Whats really important is that you find a select team this summer and continue to play Team ball. I am sure you are good you just need to work on your Team skills and the best thing to do is find an off season team. If you have a few bucks sign up at an atheletic facility and work on skills with bb trainer. Good luck!!

play year round
