I go to an elementary-middle school and im in 8th grade. After christmas, al ot of the young 3nd & 4rd graders came back with ipods, cell phones, & clothes from aeropostale and Hollister. Is it just me or is this a little weird & disturbing.
PS: I also looked a few kids up on myspace and they have pages on there

OMG My little cousin (first grader) said she wanted an IPOD. I was thinking like wtf like she listens to music and knows how to work one.
Then on christmas, she got some Abercrombie T-shirts and when she came to my house, she was wearing it and she was like Dont i look grown-up ? I was like uhh yeahhh...
Its just kinda weird. *sigh* All of this advertising and pressure things. Like weight(so much people wanna be skinney) and clothing brands -.-
Kids are growing up way too fast. Thats why girls are getting pregante earlier too D:<
They should all wait until like at least 6th grade for branded clothing and items like iPods and cells.

Yes, I agree, a 5 year old I know has a cell phone! I mean gee-- what is up with kids now-a-days, I mean back in the old days like in the 19 hundreds or whatever you were lucky if you got something small like maybe a penny if you were that lucky!! What is next, giving kids guns and bombs?? I also know a lot of kids with myspaces.

i am still in school also
kids that young shouldn't have a cell phone or ipod.
My parents didn't get me a phone till this year(after begging them)
they didn't trust me with one till know!
same with the ipod thing...they are so small and can get lost so easily, so yes, i think its stupid for parents to be doing that.
The hollister thing, they are to grown up for their age
That store(among others) is ment for pre-teens(12) and teen-agers, and sometimes adults(that can fit into their clothes)
so, i agree with you on the situation, 10 should not be the new 13!

ahh yes! i am 17 and when i was in elementary school no one had cell phones or ipods and everyone still looked like their parents dressed them. My neighbor who is in 3rd grade was bragging to me that she was getting a cell phone for christmas and an ipod. And she walks around in her short skirts, leggings and uggs and i just want to tell her to stop trying to be grown up!! it bothers me!

I know I am in 6th grade and i don't even have a cell phone. M friend says that she knows a 1st who has a cell phone b/c her older brother's friend left it at their house and her mom let her keep it! And she also acts like she is a "grownup" in it just GETS ON MY NERVES!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah.. you're tellling me.. ive been outta school for 3 years now and i think i am more innocent than 14 year olds there.. not to mention the kids are having more and more tech stuff at a younger age!

I think that it's distrubing that every EIGHTH GRADER has an ipod and a cell phone.

Thats cool.
its no big deal or anything.
they are just rich.
but aeropostale IS a baby store so thats WHERE they should be shopping.
But hollister! ya.
and if they have cell phones just to get them then thats obsured.
But my friends got cell phones at young ages cause they're parents got divorced. so if thats the case then thats actually a REALLY good idea as far as Christmas goes.
so there you go.

pscht. kids today are all spoiled.
but at least I earn the stuff i get. and even then I don't have it as good as the people who get f's and take their parent's cars out and still get spoiled.
