Without makeup, they look better--if they've never worn makeup before.
I RARELY wear makeup (I wear it, I would say, about one day out of a year)! So, my complexion, at 36, always looks its best.
On the other hand, if women wear makeup all the time and then go without for one day, their skin looks sallow, covered with acne, run-down, used up, saggy, wrinkled, uneven, pale, blotchy, etc. Also, women who wear makeup all the time are conditioned, after some time, to believing that it is only possible for their faces to look their absolute best with unnatural color ("unnatural color" meaning: coming from the cosmetic company).
BTW: Are you confident with 100% assurance what ingredients are going on your skin all of the time? I can guarantee that you aren't. You can never be sure, because the cosmetic companies get the least amount of regulations with regards to what ingredients are placed into concealer, mascara, lipstick, rouge, etc.
Besides, have you looked at the celebrity mags in their "with and without" pics, lately? Good indication. They're under pressure to go "with" all the time. Their skin never has the chance to get any rest from those chemicals.
Why do I go "without"? I think the facts speak for themselves. Plus, I have a great diet, I exercise everyday (cardio/weight lifting) and I use natural products without any chemicals to clean and moisturize my skin. My "thing" is this: I look better without makeup, and that's the bottom line. I just let my nourishment and vitality give me my natural glow.
....and no, I don't "cheat" by going to the tanning bed, either!

Both, You can look very polished with makeup, When going out for the eve, and some women just have there own healthy look on there own. too much makeup is never a good thing.

Some women look great either way. Wearing makeup or not. The natural look is better.

A little makeup can definitely enhance a person's appearance. I personally find it unattractive when I see a woman with a mask of makeup.

I wear mascara and a little lipstick. I take butt-loads of vitamins so my skin is healthy enough to go with out makeup.
