I just found out he was Indian. He lied to me and told me he was hispanic now that I know I don't care I love him. He also has not told his friends. His Mom and Dad don't know about us or our kid he says he will tell them this April. We talk about getting married and having more kids. My family likes him also and they get along great. The don't like that he lied to me for 10 years. What I want to know is will it really work out. Are his parents going to have a hard time dealing with it as much as he says or is he over reacting. I know they will be upset that they missed out on their only grandkid growing up. Can our realation ship work even though he is Indian and I am not. I have let him know that we can celebrate anything he needs too. I am not asking him to abandon who he is or his beliefs. I have offered to help him celebrate. I really love him but am scared that my child and I will end up getting hurt in the long run.I have also seen him on marriage web sites for indians

If you've been together for 10 years and have a child together, then your boyfriend has a whole lot of growing up to do..... he can start by showing you some respect and being honest with his parents.

If he has been lying to you for 10 years about his ethnicity what else could he be lying about. It's possible to know someone and not know them and this seems like one of those cases. What do you mean you have seen him on marriage websites for Indians? Is he looking? Sit down and do some soul searching. Do you really want to be with a man that you can't trust or has this relationship just become comfortable to you? I know that there is a child involved and that makes thing more complicated. The fact that the two of you do share a child should have made him want to be even more forth coming with you. If you let him get away with this one lie there will be more to follow.

This isn't about him being Indian, it's about him lying to you for ten years, keeping you a secret from his friends and family, and not marrying you even though he got you knocked up. Why have you stayed with him? Do you have no self-respect?

I am Indian so take my advice.
Most indian parents suck, if they find out you two are together they will probably try to kill him (not you) for lying. So don't tell them and run away with him somewhere.

I dont understand how you can be together for 10 years, have a child, not be married........and yet his family/parents, do NOT know any of this? What planet do ya'll live on???
