He lost it in a tag match from I believe a WCW Souled Out ppv.It was a hair vs. mask match between Konnan and Rey against Hall (substituting for Lex Luger) and Nash with Nash getting the pin and the mask. Fun fact, it was Rey's mask on the line while the Outsiders put Miss Elizabeth's hair at stake. It doesn't make sense but WCW was pretty messed up by this time.

Dean Malenko unmasked him before Halloween Havoc back in '96/'97 in WCW.

Yep he was unmasked in WCW. He looks really young looking face. When he came back to WWE they did the storyline which put his mask back on.

yes, he wrestled in WCW unmasked for a while untill it got WWE bought it. if you type in rey mysterio unmased into yahoo pictures youll find pictures if him!! =] HE IS SUCHA CUTIE!!

yeah rey wrestled on wcw for 2 or 3 yrs without a mask. he put it back on when wcw sold out and he went to wwe.

Yeah, he took his mask off during the Eddie Guerrero tribute special when he was talking to the camera. It was an extremely emotional moment and everyone was kind of awestruck that he had done it.
