what are some crimes Gandhi could have been charged for? Like destruction of government property and things like that? Please include what he did and the date if applicable?

The brits who were ruling India at the time weren't doing anything that's considered tolerable to the Indian people so really Gandhi had the right idea to challenge them by disobeying them and getting the Indian people to do the same in order to get anything decent to come out of it which happens to be independence from the British.

Yes. The mahatma was a shining example of how extreme humanitiy is sometimes above the law. As a general rule one must respect the rule of law but there are times when laws are unjust and people of high ethical standards must stand up to powerful governments.

Remember that he was a lawyer himself. He was charged with breaking some race based laws when he was in South Africa before he returned to India.

As far as dates and specifics of his activities in India itself you would have to research that further yourself. A good place to start would be his autobiography or just google him and lots of info will pop up.

Ghandi couldn't have been charged with any crimes...he wanted to achieve peace through pacifism, not war, like most world leaders today. They think they have to be the "winner" to be peaceful and happy. Not true.
