I know...it's amazing. They were on fire in the first but Emery stoned them. Then the power play fizzled.

Not to make excuses, but the Sabs have a helluva schedule of late...they play seven games in 12 days with no more than a days rest between games.

I hate Ottawa.

ottawa is a hot team with a really hot goaltender, he has only allowed like 3 goals in his last 5 games or something ridiculous like that. anyways ottawa is a tam with lots of talent in spezza heatly and alfredsson not to mention a guy they just aqured from phoenix, mike comrie who is an ex oilrs captain and a guy just waiting to fall in to the right chemistry. So it is no surprise to me that buffalos offence had a touch time scoring because of emery and ottawas defence. also ottawa is a good forchecking team so once they get the pressure in to a teams zone it isnt easy to get it out even whn playing against a team like buffalo.
Ottawa is a really good team it has just taken them a while to get going.

Sabres special teams are awful lately and the Sens have been good.. plus Ottawa I think plays twice as hard as normal when they are playing us because we knocked them out of the playoffs last season. They want it more.

It is strange though.. Sabres have 8 regulation losses now, 4 to the Sens!

That game (just like the other three) was sickening to watch. Our guys lost their momentum after the first period. Yes, we may have been crushed by them last year in the regular season and then beaten them in the playoffs, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen again this year. I think Ruff and the team have to take a close look at why this team gives us more trouble then anyone else. 4 out of 8 losses!! That says it right there. Something has got to happen, we can not lose to them in the playoffs.

The reason is just because some teams have other teams numbers, its kind of like a curse, like how the Pens have Phillies number, or the Predaors have the Wings number, its just some wierd stuff like that!

They couldn't beat them in the regular season last year either. But come playoff time we know who the better team is.
