I'm sorry but that's a dumb question. I'm Australian and I treat foreigners the same I way I treat locals - if they treat me with respect and are friendly and courteous, then I will do likewise. How can someone possibly dislike any person for not being the same nationality as them? And you personally know all Australians to be able to pose the above question? If it were worded more satirically, it might be funny.

I've met australians that are very freindly. I think Americans have a rep for being loud and obnoxious with them though. It's our media I think. I mean if you saw nothing but paris hilton and brittany spears coming from one country wouldn't you start to get sick of it.

who says we dont? we dont like people who live in our country and cant speak english at all, but other than that i think most of us are pretty tolerant and friendly (especially when you get out of the big cities like sydney into the smaller cities and towns).
i dont know how many aussies you have met, but dont lump us all together like that. Like any other country, there are some racist idiots, but that is not the majority.

They have their own way of doing things and have had a lot of experience with Poms coming in and trying to boss them around. They're an independent lot, originally a penal colony. Smile nicely, have a Fosters and relax - they'll probably warm up if you give them a chance.

im an australia and i dont know, but i do think that if you are an australian citerzen then your first language should be english... i think its rude to be in our country and not speak it.
oh and just for evilile i love paris and britney they are so beautiful and paris is a goddess
