Does anyone know what year during Zepplin years Robert Plant's voice began to change? Does anyone know specifically what caused this?

Heck, all those 60s rockers are having a hard time hitting the high notes now. I've noticed that, when the old members of Cream reunite, Jack Bruce gets Eric Clapton to sing all the high parts.
