My mom and I aren't close, and I want to model/act, how can I confront her??

does she not aprove of you wanting to model? its your dream so keep at it, never let anyone keep you away from doing something you dream of doing. Self persistence is the best way to achieve anything

First of all why do "you" have to confront her. That mindset is surely to lead to disaster when even talking about the weather. As for your aspirations of acting and modeling you have to look deep inside and ask yourself what your motivations are for choosing such a career. If it is not something that will truly make you happy then no matter how much money you make you're going to be troubled inside. Furthermore, if it's a career that you're good at and ambitious toward fulfilling then nothing of heaven or earth will stop you... not even your mother.

The fact that you state you want to "confront" her suggests you are looking for a reaction from her. Most likely it will be a negative reaction. The only way I know of to get her support is by asking her what she thinks about someone (not you) doing this for a living and then see how she reacts to that. If she appears positive tell her you have been considering it and ask if you can count on her support. Good Luck

prove to her that you're responsible enough to make the right choices simply by not arguing with her over petty arguments and not getting into trouble, etc. basic stuff like that. then, slowly tell her about it and give her some time to think about it.

Tell your mother how you feel. She would be glad to see you purpusing your dreams, not hers. Just do what you want to do. Jobs aren't fun unless you enjoy what you're doing.
