Whether it is the books you read or the movies you watch, or the people around you (good or bad), what experiences impact you life and how do you feel about the changes it brings?

what influences my life is my childhood and what helps me shape my opinions is school. everything i wanted to become when i was a child motivates me to do the best i can be today. my family didn't have much living back home in the philippines, from what i remember we were very poor. my mom told me we would bathe in the river and if were lucky the rain because we had no money for hydro. i also remember my mom and her tabs at the grocery store. it was really sad. remembering all that as i work my way up the ladder to success today makes me even work harder by helping others who are in need like how it was for my family before. education should never be taken for granted by anyone. it's something everybody needs. it shouldn't be anyone else's decision. you'll just know right away what influences you as you get older.

My beloved Grandfather who is now deceased. I grew up with an abusive (sexual, mental, emotional) father who was like Dr. Jekkyl and Mr. Hyde. His meanness rubbed off on my mother who was okay to me at times, but liked to hit till she got all of her anger out. It was torture. My Grandfather was the kindest, lovingest, best person you would ever want to meet. He made my life worth living. If it weren't for having him in my life, I'm sure I would have gotten into a horrible drug-addicted life because I was taught I was dirty, should be ashamed of myself, that I was stupid, and on and on by my parents. I believed it. He turned everything around for me with his love and affection. Unfortunately I lost him when I was 20. I feel that was a very cruel thing to happen to me, but his love is with me today, and I base my life on it!

Experience .. living life every day ... and just basically doing what I can to SURVIVE and overcome obstacles ..
That is what influences my life and shapes my opinions.
