Wicked was AMAZING!!!! AMAZING!!! I've never seen such a spectacular show. Highly recommended. CATS comes in second in my book.

I've been to a few different musicals, and seen just about every movie musical. So, I'll answer the question this way:
Movie musical- West Side Story (it seems very dated now, but I still love the music, and the story is timeless)
Musical theatre- Scarlett Pimpernel (this isn't one of the best know ones, but it's hysterical, and the music is great)

The Sound of Music because it had a nice family oriented story. It made me happy to watch such warmth and sentiment.

Color - West side Story or Grease or Five Heartbeats 1 per decade maybe:)
