can thyroid disease be passed on to my child?

my husband has thyroid disease and so does his dad, what are the chances my child will get it too?

yes, unfortunately this is one that can be inherited...Good thing we live in today's world...modern medicine...a simple blood test when he/she is older could determine whether they inherited the disease....

yes it can be passed.. it runs in my family(I seem to be the only one that does not have a thyriod disease) sorry I dont know the percentage though..
