Fundamental definitions!

Divine right supports a king with no free election.
Parliament is elected, not given their seats.

Divine right gave the monarch the right to do whatever they wanted with out restriction. This is not good for society as a whole and the parliament realized this. monarchs need to have restrictions. They cannot be totally above everyone. Parliament wanted to make them accountable for there action. If society is to advance, there cannot be divine right.

The Divine right of kings means God grants powers to the king and then the King to the people. Parliaments, also the US, were swinging to God granting rights to the people and people granting powers to government.

Unalienable rights were those rights granted by God to man and the Constitution listed those powers granted to government.
