Breeding a male donkey to a female horse results in a mule; breeding a male horse to a female donkey produces a hinny.

When a horse and a donkey produce offspring, it is called a mule. In most all cases, the mule is sterile, but in rare occasions a mule which is not sterile and mates with a horse, it produces a jackass (a jackass looks a lot more like a horse, except with longer ears) or if it mates with another donkey it has a different name, i think either packmule or burrow, im not positive which on that end.

A jackass is a male donkey.
A jackass and a jenny have a donkey as offspring.

Well, The donkey and the horse produce a mule. I think that a donkey and a jackass are the same thing so you kinda put your self in an odd position but a donkey+horse=mule. O_o

Donkeys and jackasses are essentially the same, so a donkey and a jackass cannot have a mule.

Jackass is a male donkey.
So the offspring of the 2 would be a normal donkey.
A mule is a crossbreed between a male donkey and female horse.
