If you are hard for cash and have enough wire to play with on both sides you might be able to take it to an electrician and have the wire split and repaired.

Otherwise, you have three other options.

Use the warranty to get a replacment.

Buy a new one that is specifically made for your computer.

Or buy one that is generic and covers your voltage range of your input voltage.

If either of your parents have an ebay account you can buy one off of ebay but they aint cheap http://search.ebay.ca/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&catref=C6&from=R10&satitle=zv6000+charger&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D3&sadis=200&fpos=h9p+1v9&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1%26fsoo%3D1&coaction=compare&copagenum=1&coentrypage=search&fgtp=

Otherwise you could repair it yourself which is surprisingly easy. If you want to do that email me with pictures of your charger. ANd I can tell you the parts you need from radioshack or a similar store it would be cheaper that way my email is edward.nardella@yahoo.ca
The person above me mentioned getting a generic one. This MAY work but is your laptop draws too much power it can ruin the charger and most generic chargers arent built to handle a laptop but if you want to try instead of repairing let me know and I wil find out exactly what you need an where you can get it.

To everyone answering this question keep in mind that the asker is 13 and wont likly be able to order over the net. He wouldn't have mentioned he was 13 otherwise.

Its simple. take the exposed white wire and the exposed red wire get some scotch tape and before taping dip the entire cord into bottled water. now wait 20 seconds turn off your lights and plug in your laptop. Now lay down in front of the cozy fire that used to be your laptop and search through the sales section of the paper for a targus brand Power cord or ABS or even HP they usually are sold at Staple, Comp USA, Circuit City etc. Just look for your make and model on the back for compatiblilty.

You really don't want to buy just any "charger." There are many types of replacement "chargers" out there but the best place to get one is HP.
