I think that what we are leaving our kids is flat out disgraceful!!

I'm not worried, I will be dead. But here are some points to consider:
1. More people living here will not be Americans in any sense of the word (they will not speak English nor will they be culturally assimilated). This could result in an us/them mentality.
2. There seems to be a move to remove incentives from life, thereby reducing competition, which might stifle innovation. The way I see it, why work hard if the government is going to make sure nothing will go wrong in my life?
3. We seem to be getting softer as a people, that can't be good. Fewer people seem to know how to fix things and professions that require one to get dirty seem to be frowned upon.
4. Anything goes with respect to entertainment and the concept of right and wrong seems to be getting warped. It's like something out of a sci-fi novel or Ancient Rome. The problem with Rome was that as they became bored with activities, they had to go to extremes to be entertained (gladiators, bloodsports, etc).
But maybe I am wrong about all this. I often think that's why we were designed to wear out and die, as we age, the generations following us seem bizarre, but we seem to survive are a people.

I think that it is going to be sad.
The standard of living is going to be greatly reduced and it will be more like a police state.
More laws...more military...more law enforcement
Virtually no personal freedoms
Very low standard of living.
