The Bowl Championship Series....or BCS....is a system set up by college football's Division 1-A. This was set up for 2 reasons...the first was an answer to the trend of the late 80's and early 90's of having split championships between the AP and USA polls. The second was to keep the already lucrative bowl system in place by rotating the BCS Championship Game.
