I think a wine and cheese picnic would be a great date for earlier on in a relationship. It's relaxing, laid back, and less pressure. You can get to know each other in a casual atmosphere.
But later on in a relationship a candle light dinner is great. It helps a couple keep the romance alive. And of course, those wine and cheese picnics can also continue!

OMG, definitely go with the candle light dinner. How romantic does that sound? lol.....but bleh, I'm a softie for that kind of stuff. Wine & cheese, although tempting, wouldn't be as meaningful to be as a candlelit dinner.
Turn on the flame to passion! ;)

Hmm... They both sound romantic, sweet, and nice. It depends on the day and time. But I pick the picnic in a nice and safe place because it is more intimate, passionate and romantic. The candlelight dinner is romantic too, but you can always do and save that for a special occasion.
