She may be too young for a certain type of relationship, but she isn't too young to be romantically interested in boys. The key is to know that there are natural age brackets for dating and in these brackets are different age-appropriate types of relationships.
Since she is under 15/16, make sure you communciate with her about sexual issues. Kids that young, especially girls (who get more emotional with sex than guys), need to know the physical, emotional, and psychological risks of sex. I would do my best to urge her not to get sexual at this age. I was 16 before I had my first kiss and from my experience, the longer a girl waits with physical relationships, the more adjusted and prepared she will be when she is ready.
Spending too much time just hanging out alone with her boyfriend could be detrimental, as well. Kids that age can get very attached and separated from their friends, activities, school, and even family. Make sure she is keeping things balanced with the boyfriend.
Other than those two big issues, you probably don't have much reason to worry. Every girl is different and every girl-boy combination is different. There's no fool proof guide to teen dating, but just keep your eye on her and make sure to communicate with her and even with the boyfriend and his parents. The more you know, the more assured you will be. She doesn't have as much of a right to privacy as she will when she is older, so take advantage of that now!
If things go well, this is a great chance for you to see how your daughter is maturing and a great opportunity for both of you to learn to trust each other.

Hey now you already know the answer to that question..If she is 13 and has a boyfriend then you have to say:ok here is the deal he see's you here at the house and I go where you go(parties etc)if she is seeing him at school just pop up every now and then.Oh come on 13 she hasn't even reached womanhood good as a matter of fact she has a long way to go.Tell her education is the most important thing in her life right now and a boyfriend isn't part of it.But if she insist then let him come over and help her with her homework, chores etc.Let her father handle this one.Somtimes a young man respect the male figure more.

I think 13 yrs old is too young to be in a committed relationship like that. Why the rush? Nothing wrong with having friends... but what is the need to have a boyfriend at the age of 13?

I wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend until I was 16 years old. However, I did have boyfriends that my parents were not aware of when I was 13. So the fact that your daughter introduced her boyfriend to you is a good reflection of her openness with you and the strength of the relationship. And if nothing else, you can monitor the relationship to be sure that it does not get out of hand.

All girls go through it some at other ages, its perfectly normal just be open with your daughter.
I have came to the conclusion that the less open and receptive you are the less you will know. Don't scold her for having a boyfriend that will just make her want it more. Also don't be afraid to talk to her about SEX. Yes I know you are thinking O my goodness she is just dating and only 13 but you want her to know the truth about sex and the consequences from you than an uneducated friend of hers. And if she is dating boys and piers can have a huge impact on your child's decisions regardless of what you think just talk to her openly ask her questions and ease her mind that its OK to talk to you about sex without feel ling tension or uneasy feeling make sure you're comfortable talking to her about it.

NOO NOO NOO! 13 is just the right age to start dating boys...as long as there not doing anything unapropriate together then its fine...talk to your daughter and tell her you trust her but if she abuses ur trust then she wont be abel to date anyone for a while...but if the guy seems like a bad guy then maybe you should talk to him and ask some questions like what do you guys do together.....but 13 is a good age to start dating...as long as the boy is ok

If 22 is too young to get married, than 13 is too young to have a serious boy/girlfriend. Do you want to be a granny in a few years?
