well it depends on the person i had the depo shot for 2 years and did not had my period i gained a lot of wight and then when did not wanted to take it no more now i have trouble getting my period so the best thing is to have a discussion with your doctor she or he will tell you what is best.

I had a friend that didnt have her period for the 4 years she was on it and even for the year she was off it. So ask the doc what the norm is they will usually be able to tell you what more women experience.

if u talking about the pill that u can inject, no you dont get periods, my friend started it last year and she hasnt had one since then however she does get the odd twinge of period pain n moodiness but thats just natural....and she did lose weight with it, but sure its different with everyone ....

You will spot a lot as if you do have your period - its very sporadic
