Yes we do. It's odd. You meet someone and like them for who they are and later we try to change them.

We all have this ideal view of the perfect person: tall dark and handsome, or if you're a guy, tan, thin and curvalicious. But the thing is that personalities mostly overshadow all of those aspects in the most important ways, and subconsciously or not, we are even more picky about that. The older we get, the more we realize that that perfect person does not exist (if you are someone newly in love, wait it out a while and search your feelings. You'll know it to be true). This is why we definitely mold our partners into our ideal matches. We can't let go of the dream. We try to get them interested in our stuff by introducing it to them, and they in turn, introduce us to theirs. (that's supposedly the way a 2-way relationship works). The problem is with a breakdown of that communication where one person starts becoming more adament. It's annoying at first, then insulting, and finally unbearable..
For all those who didn't wanna read the above, my final answer is yes.

I think that we all do but isn't it sad? I mean we fell in love with that person for a reason. I don't think that we should try to change each other too much

It's possible, but the most we can peacefully achieve is to rub down the sharp edges a little.

So true. What's even more interesting is how much they change without us realizing all the little ways we try to change them.

I've tried but it won't work. He just doesn't have the artistic needs that I have. But it goes both ways. I don't have the brain power for all the crazy *** math he tries to teach me. We even eachother out in our differences.

I'll admit to it... I often catch myself wishing he were different or even trying to force him to change. Shame on me. I think he does it too sometimes.

Nah we shouldn't try to perfect their flaws. We love them by the way they were in the first place.
