No, there were wars long before Islam, we would find something else to fight about. That said, there are some Muslims that seem to be adding fuel to the fire, but I think it is unfair to say that the majority of Muslims are any different than anyone else when it comes to trouble making.

The world would be more peaceful if ridiculous practices such as the teaching or should i say indoctrination of children into religion were banned.(punishable like peadophilia child abuse) Pass a law banning the study of religion until a child is a teenager or a man and you would have far fewer extremists of any creed. Religious fundamentalism is the real enemy. Wether a fundamentaist believes in total peace or total war he will never relinquish that belief because to do so would make a mockery of his existance. If there is no god then how can his life have meaning. Trying to argue with a fundamentalist is as futile as arguing with a volcano as it burries you alive. the best plan is to get away from the noxious fumes to cleaner air.

The world will never be a peaceful place unless the true Muslims rule. Read history. The only peace on earth was during the rule of the Muslims. But I want to remind everyone that non of the countries that exist today rule by Islamic laws.

I think the world would be more peaceful if RELIGIOUS FUNDAMENTALSITS, regardless of what religion they preach didn't exist. What is funny is that a few hundred years ago, it was the Christians that had the problem with zealots and the Muslims were the tolerant free thinkers of their time with advances in medicine, science, and mathematics. Is it just me or does it appear that when a religion promotes peace (not at the end of a sword or gun) and promote tolerance of others, their civilizations thrive?

First I think im the last person to defend the Muslim religion. Nevertheless, the person who said that if there were no Muslims is correct in saying that people would find a reason to fight no matter what their religion. Christinity had its share of holy warriors too. What about the inquisition; salem witch trials, and the fight between various branches of Christinity in Ireland?
I bet all those aliens from outer space are shaking in their boots about us, hoping we never develop the technology for space travel. We are like the Clingnons in Star Trek, a warlike people with a propensity for violence.

I think the majority of Muslims are fine.
I think the majority of Germans & Japanese were fine during WWII.
The problem is that a small segment of the polulation are extremists and somehow came to be in charge.
They intimidated & brainwashed the good people to go along with their agenda, even though many opposed it.
I believe the radical leaders need to follow Saddam & the good people left alone. But if they aren't willing to do that, all will pay the price.

The world would be a more peaceful place if every group of every persuasion didn't think they had the right to shove their beliefs down other peoples throats by laws and actions, no matter what their beliefs may be.

I don't hate, and never have hated, these people.
But the Muslims that believe in killing "infidels", are amongst the worst people to ever walk the face of the earth; and those who think it's O.K. to torture or behead their enemies should not be allowed to live with civilized people.
I also condemn the cowardly Muslims who think that it's O.K. to shoot at their enemies from behind their women and children .
So, yes I believe they are the biggest threat to world peace we have ever seen.

I artwork with quite some surely great Muslim human beings. even as i do not enroll of their idea, i might want to imagine that the global can be a a lot less happier position in the journey that they were not right here.
