What does the word Goth mean to you? Can you even define it?
And how do you feel about Emo?
Don't you feel that emo has stolen a lot of it's style from punk and goth and tried to make it their own?
And don't you think that emo is lame because they moan about life instead of respecting it? Emo's are always depressed but over really stupid stuff.
So yeah, as a goth, how do you feel about emos?

Being goth has nothing to do with what clothes you wear or music you listen to, it is a way of thinking and seeing the world. The clothes that goths wear and the music that goths listen to is just a reflection of that mindset. Goths see that there is extreme pain and evil in the world, along with the good. Instead of condemning it or ignoring it, goths accept these things as a part of life and try and enjoy the good along with the bad, since they can't stop the bad from happening. They are not obsessed with death, they just accept it as an inevitability. They do not try and cause more pain in their (or anybody else's) lives, since there is plenty to start with. Goths tend to be kind, intelligent, non-violent, emotional, and artistic.
Personally, I don't care either way about emos. Every generation of teenagers needs it's own look, emo is it for this generation. Maybe it will mean a few less 14-year-olds claiming to be goth, which is a positive for me. But I do think the self described emo kids are confusing being a teenager, which is always emotional and depressing, for their true nature, which has yet to emerge. At least they're not listening to pop music, I give them that.

What the word goth means to me... The word goth means different things to different people. And for me it's just the way i choose to live.
I 100% agree with mr. horrible.
An emo kid is like a B-rate goth and a scene kid is like a B-rate emo. How disgusting is that?

Goth...means a way of looking at life & the world i guess...emo is emotional wannabe goth...yea....yea....i dont really care about emos

Pesonally I as a goth feel that emo kids will be the ruin of hottopic and the rest of society for that matter, but i am learning to live with it. scene kids though are my new enemy
