Why should I care about trusting him when I cannot trust the president of my country. Putin is what he is, at least he doesn't hide it by trying to be sneaky, and he was a a real KGB officer not a cheerleader.

Nowhere near as much as our president does, as you may remember from their first meeting at W's ranch:
...Vladimir Putin, who is the president of Russia, who our president met with and said, "I stared into his eyes and looked into his soul. And he's a good man".
Now, Putin is a former KGB apparatchik. He's a hack and a thug. And why is our president endorsing someone who may have tried to poison Mr. Yushchenko? Why does Mr. Bush like Pooty Poot, as he calls him, so much?

I don't know enough about him...but I really hope the best for poor Russia.
Putin has an 80% approval rating, which is about twice as much as Bush's.
P.S. I was born in St. Petersburg :) O'chin priyatna.

I don't really trust his motives, but, as far as I know, he has not lied to me about anything important. This is more than I can say about other world leaders I could name.
