and a close friend didn't agree with the wedding, would you want them to be there anyway? Or another angle, how can you attend (or be in) a wedding that you feel is wrong?? I am coming at this as a Christian - the Bible says we aren't to marry unbelievers - so a friend that is talking about doing this is going against what God says. Can I support her as a friend by not attending - or would it be better to go? I know this is rambly, but I'm a bit confused on what to do.

Support your friend with what you are about to do and even after she getr married that's her bed that she will have to lie in it so be there for her that's if your a true friend who knows he may become a believer. try praying for the situation and let your friend know to keep her faith and things will be alright.

if you follow the bible you would go and support your friend cuz it says that you should not place judgement upon others. Just cuz her future husband is a unbeliever dosen't mean that he dosen't have many good qualities. I would still attend the wedding. It isn't everyday that a friend gets married and she likely would like you there. You can let her know how you feel but it is her life and up to her with what she does with it. You can't choose who you fall in love with so I would support my friend and if you do not attend then she might get the wrong idea

Since you don't have God's long term view of the situation, you might want to reconsider calling this a "bad choice". If you can stop with the all the judgement, sure, go to the wedding and remain friends, but if you're just going to beat your friend over the head with the Bible, she'd be better off if you stayed away, perhaps permanently.

Hello, I'm a Christian Catholic but I reed the Bible as often as I can. I can't tell you exactly where in the Bible says the following. May be you can find it or saw it before.
Someone asked Jesus:
Rabbi, I was invited to a party but the person who invited me stole the meat he's serving at the party.
I don't want to hurt his feelings but I don't feel comfortable with his actions. should I go to the party?
Answer from Jesus:
You didn't steal the meat so you didn't sin, if you don't want to hurt your friend's feelings go to the party but don't eat the meet that he is serving. that way you don't feel guilty with god about your actions and at the same time you keep peace with your friend.
Does that answer your question?
Best Wishes.

I think you should still be there and be supportive of your friend. The best way to show your Christian spirit is to be a good friend and help her to bring her new husband to Christ. Show him what good Christian friends are like and be there for her and help him feel comfortable with her Christian friends. This is important to her right now and she needs your support and friendship.

In my opinion this falls under the "hate the sin, love the sinner" category. If you tell the person how you feel in relation to the Bible I think you should definitely attend.
