The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. It gives you an excellent idea what live in the 1700's was like as seen by a woman from the 1940's. There's a lot of historical information about Scotland, France, and the American Revolution. The books are very long so be prepared to read but you will fall in love with the entire cast of characters. There is also a companion book where you can look up places and things in the book for more information. I've just finished the last in the series and I am so afraid there will be no more. Diana, if you read this, one more please.

Best book is definitely "To Kill a Mockingbird".

There are several series I enjoy reading. Lately I've been catching up with John Sandford's "Prey" series. I'm also a big fan of Lawrence Block's "The Burglar ..." series. The Burglar movie with Whoopi Goldberg was *loosely* based on the this series.

certainly attempt Tamora Pierce books. She's written a number of mini-sequence arranged in the comparable worldwide. Alanna: the 1st experience, in the palms of the Goddess, the lady Who Rides Like a guy, and Lioness Rampant are the books in the 1st mini-sequence. Holly Black's cutting-side fairy tale sequence commencing up with Tithe seems to be some thing you need. Libba Bray's sequence commencing with a great and poor attractiveness is splendidly creepy and mesmerizing. you will desire to attempt it! something by skill of Diana Wynne Jones is sure to be an exceedingly reliable e book. i desire to advise attempting fire and Hemlock or Howl's shifting fort first. maximum of her sequence are rather small yet she's written loads of books, it quite is purely approximately like a set! The Hero and the Crown by skill of Robin McKinley is a fantasy classic and a great e book. She's written a set of others, too, that I additionally advise. Her vampire novel, Sunshine, shows quite diverse vampires from Twilight in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it is nonetheless reliable. Garth Nix's old Kingdom trilogy is excellent! It starts off with Sabriel and is going to Lirael and then Abhorsen. certainly attempt those! i'm hoping this facilitates you!

The best "book" I've ever read has been Bleach(it's a series too!)
It's a graphic novel, containing the life of a strange teenager who can see "ghosts". Long story short, he has to save those who have died, bring them to heaven, and fight the hollows(those who have fallen to the darkened side of life) and bring THOSE souls into heaven.
It's a great book if you're new to the whole comic-ish stuff...(I've read plenty of normal books, but this one, truly tops them all, in any category)

As for normal books, I'd suggest Animal Farm, it's not really my FAVORITE, but it's a really interesting book.

The best book I ever read was "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer. It was about a regular human girl named Bella who meets Edward Cullen, and vampire, and falls deeply in love. Edward does love Bella, but he`s afraid he might hurt her and accidentally kill her. Plus, there are boys who have crushes on Bella, and other problems that can hurt Bella and Edward`s relationship.
It`s the most beautiful book ever, and there`s 2 sequels along with it..which I`m looking forward to buying from Barnes & Nobles!
